VPN Disclaimer

This disclaimer applies to the VPN (Virtual Private Network) feature within HiveJammer Personal, operated by James Adamson, Dublin, Ireland.

1. What the VPN Does

The HiveJammer VPN encrypts your internet traffic and masks your IP address by routing your connection through a secure WireGuard tunnel. It is provided as a privacy tool to help protect your data on untrusted networks and reduce exposure of your browsing activity to third parties.

2. No Traffic Logging

We do not log, inspect, filter, or monitor your internet traffic while you are connected to the VPN. We cannot see what websites you visit, what content you access, or what data you transmit.

Minimal connection metadata (such as connection timestamps) may be retained solely for service operation and abuse prevention. This metadata does not reveal your browsing activity.

3. Not Anonymity

The VPN is not an anonymity tool. While it masks your IP address from the sites you visit and encrypts traffic from your device to our servers, it is one layer of a broader privacy strategy.

The VPN does not protect against:

Threats that exist on your device (malware, spyware, compromised apps)
Phishing or scams delivered through non-web channels
Tracking via browser fingerprinting, account logins, or cookies
Data you voluntarily share with websites or services

4. No Geo-Restriction or Censorship Bypass Guarantees

We make no representations about the VPN's ability to bypass geo-restrictions, censorship, or content blocks. Server availability and routing may vary.

5. Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the VPN complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. This includes local, national, and international laws.

Using the VPN for illegal activity is strictly prohibited under our Terms of Service.

6. Service Availability

The VPN service may be interrupted, degraded, or unavailable due to:

Scheduled or unscheduled maintenance
Technical issues or server outages
Network conditions beyond our control

We do not guarantee 100% uptime or uninterrupted service.

7. Limitations of Protection

While the VPN encrypts traffic between your device and our servers, it cannot protect against all threats. Specifically:

Traffic is decrypted at our server before reaching its destination (this is how all VPNs work)
HTTPS provides end-to-end encryption for website connections regardless of VPN use
DNS queries are routed through encrypted resolvers (Cloudflare or AdGuard), but DNS is only one vector
The VPN does not scan traffic for malware or block malicious content (unless DNS-based ad blocking is enabled)

8. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate VPN access for users who violate our Terms of Service. Any such action will be based on information obtained through means other than traffic inspection — for example, third-party abuse reports, DMCA notices, or valid legal process.

9. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

We will respond to valid legal process (such as court orders issued under Irish or EU law) as required by law. Because we do not log traffic, our ability to provide information is limited to account data and connection metadata.
